adult and family life ministry
Middle Creek Church recognizes that the vitality of its ministries is a measure of the health of its members and families; in turn, those members and families look for a safe, nurturing environment in which to grow.
WEDNESDAY
FAMILY NIGHTS
Wednesday Family Nights involve a broad mix of activities for all families. The kitchen committee provides a buffet-style meal before the adults, teens and children adjourn to activities and age-appropriate topical studies.

Adult sessions for the 2026 Winter months will be based on the Kyle Idleman's "God's at War" Video Series
There are gods at war within each of us.
They battle for the throne of our hearts, and much is at stake. This is why idolatry is the most discussed problem in the entire Bible. Behind every sin struggle that you and I have is a false god that is winning the war in our lives.
Don’t give in to the myth that gods are only statues that people of other cultures or long ago worshiped. Pleasure, romance, sex, money, and power are just a few of the gods that vie for our allegiance in today’s society.
Join Kyle Idleman in this study, as he explores these gods. When the Lord God takes His rightful place on the throne of our hearts, we will have victory.
Small Groups
Small groups provide an opportunity for members to grow spiritually and deepen their faith. The intimacy of a small group setting allows for open discussion, prayer, and study of the Bible in a way that may not be possible in a larger church setting. Members of these groups offer each other support and encouragement on their faith journey. They can be formed based on stage of life, interests or can be intentionally inter-generational. The minister overseeing Christian Education coordinates the initial formation of a group and continues to check in on how it is going. The group decides the how, when, and where of meeting and chooses a study based on the age and stage of life of the group.
Each person at Middle Creek Church is encouraged to be part of a small group.
If you have questions about small groups or have an interest in joining one, contact John Hess.
Senior Ministry
The Senior Ministry at Middle Creek Church meets four times per year for fellowship. They faithfully remember their class members in nursing homes with plants at Easter and Christmas. In addition, they enjoy a Golden Age Dinner, Senior Days at Woodcrest Retreat and Camp Swatara.
On an annual basis, the Seniors attend a Lancaster County Adult Senior Fellowship Banquet in both the spring and fall with senior adults from other churches similar to Middle Creek, which is often held at Middle Creek Church.

Prayer Ministry
Prayer is an essential part of congregational life at Middle Creek Church. Each Sunday bulletin contains an insert dedicated to prayer concerns and updates. During the week, urgent or special prayer requests go out by phone and email. On Saturday mornings, men gather at 6:30 to pray.
